Senior Accountant

Awura PLC is a leading tech company focused on creating innovative web applications. we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibility:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare financial management reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
• Monitor and support taxation requirements.
• Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process.
• Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Proficiency in financial software and tool.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting role.
• Hands-on experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is essential for this role.
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet preparation and financial statement reporting.
• Familiarity with Ethiopian Revenue Office processes, tax reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
